The program is designed to prepare and further develop skilled technologists and educators. The curriculum offers online classes, which are taught and supported by UNI faculty. Students will engage in two courses per semester and will graduate in two years. The program is customizable to students needs through supporting elective courses. Thesis and non-thesis options are available. The thesis option provides for research, writing and professional competency development, whereas the non-thesis option provides opportunities for technical development and more in-depth understandings in the desired area of concentration through coursework. The Master of Science in Technology degree program is intended to prepare and develop professionals to perform and function as leaders and skilled technologists in the industrial or educational environments.
The master’s program in technology provides candidates with a core of courses in technology, appropriate supervisory or organizational aspects, technical, research basics, and educational leadership. UNI also offers the Doctor of Technology (D.T.) program.
