The University of Northern Iowa Department of Technology undergraduate and graduate ranks teamed up earlier this month and brought home second place honors.
The pair, Electrical Engineering Technology professor, Hong Nie, and UNI Doctor of Technology student, Ziyuan Li, earned runner-up accolades at the 18th annual Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) International Conference on Electro/Information Technology (EIT2018). The event was held during the weekend of May 3-5, 2018, at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
Nie and Li earned the award with their paper, “Implementation of a Joint Power Harvesting and Communication Technology on A Smartphone’s 3.5mm Audio Interface.”
