UNI Construction Management Earns National Recognition

The Construction Management program at the University of Northern Iowa checks in as the 29th best program of its kind in the country, according to a recent ranking published by Logo

According to its website, explores and connects people with the best affordable colleges.  The mission of Affordable Schools is to help students make smart, higher education choices.

UNI makes an appearance within the ’50 Best Affordable Bachelor’s in Building/Construction Management 2020’ ranking.  The methodology behind the ranking includes awarding each individual program marks based on the following categories: average cost of attendance, student-to-faculty ratio, and graduation rates.

“The major is a broad program that covers topics in construction operations, pre-construction, construction safety, electrical and mechanical systems, contracting, schedule, estimating and business,” states the report on UNI’s program.  “The curriculum is structured to allow students to pursue related minors in real estate, marketing, business, finance or entrepreneurship.  With an 18:1 student-to-faculty ratio, course sizes remain small, providing a personal atmosphere of team-building and allowing students to build relationships with faculty and peers.”

Western Carolina University took top honors in the 2020 poll, while the University of Florida and Fresno State University rounded out the top three.
